Villa del Faro

Reviews

“Exquisitely off the grid” An elegant eco-hotel, Villa del Faro is a unique oasis nestled on a deserted beach. The Hotel was created with the integrity of the surrounding desert in mind. We offer solitude instead of shops, safe swimming beaches, great books, gourmet food, snorkeling, surfing, and just pure beauty! One hour north of the Los Cabos Airport, but a world away in seclusion and serenity. Eight separate Casitas. Breakfast included.

Exquisite!

Spent five nights at Villa del Faro last week after having longed to return to this magical haven for the past two years. This property is in a class of it’s own and is the ultimate, relaxing getaway. Expect fabulous food, refined casitas and exceptional staff. This retreat is perfect for the adventurous traveler who longs to be off the beaten path, yet, enveloped in a perfectly landscaped oasis. A hidden gem!

Weekend Visit

Spectacular setting and exquisitely detailed home and guest facilities make it a very special experience. Having built in the Baja myself (my vacation home is in Pedregal in Cabo) to see what they have achieved on the East Cape is incredible. The details in construction, decor, planting and layout are very very impressive. Delightful hosts and meals make it even more special. Don’t miss out on some of the best made fresh margaritas in Mexico! Highly recommended.

A beautiful hidden gem on the East Cape

We live in San Jose del Cabo and like to venture out to little stay-cations now and then. When we heard about Villa del Farro we knew we had to go and check it out. The drive wasn’t too bad, just take your time and enjoy the beauty and fun scenes of the Baja.

Upon arrival, we were welcomed and checked in quickly. Milton showed us to our room which was just amazing! We chose Casa Alberca. It’s huge! Now just a note, it is called Casa Alberca for a reason. It is open air to the “pool”. Yes, someone could wander into your living room or peek into your kitchen, etc… Hopefully you’d hope the other guests would respect your privacy. Besides that, this room is awesome. The bedroom and bath are private, beautifully decorated with fun and cool surprises. Look around you. 😉

The meals… well, they were so good, you’d just want to lick the plate. The breakfasts that are included are amazing. We had dinner twice there and they’re so accommodating. I love cooking and eating so when you have someone at a hotel cooking for you like your mom would, that’s love and deliciousness.

The grounds of Villa del Faro are gorgeous. It’s like your own private garden oasis. We had an amazing experience seeing a beautiful owl too!! Take a walk down to the beach and you’ll feel like you are on your own island.

The owners and staff are great! We had a lot of fun and will definitely be back.

I highly recommend visiting them and taking the time to press your reset button and relax.

Off the grid and off the chart

Just spent five nights exploring the East Cape based out of Villa del Faro. Couldn’t have been better! A little slice of eco heaven.. charming, peaceful, perfectly appointed, and best of all…off the grid. If you want to get really away from it all and still have a selection of creature comforts, Villa Faro is perfect.

Some places just capture your heart and light up your soul

And I am proud to say that this is one of them. My family and I loved every minute we had here, the grounds, the architecture, the subtle touches were spot on, elegant but grounded, it has all the right touches. This is family owned and operated and that comes through in every way, we felt very welcome and quite at home. I am in the travel industry and have seen hundreds of properties around the world and I am always in search for those extra special ones, those that have a certain magic and mojo, a soul if you will, and we found one located on an idyllic stretch of beach on the East Cape of Baja Sur. We will be back.

Gorgeous Mediteranean estate

I have traveled a lot and this place is one of the most gorgeous hotels in the world. Hidden on a hill in the deserted East Cape of Baja, everything is hand-carved, curated, perfect. Hidden oasis. Sweet people. Great food. Wow.

One of the nicest places in the world

We were captured into the Villa del Faro environment immediately. From the gorgeous backdrop of the turquoise water, to the immaculate living, sitting and dining rooms– each of the bedrooms one of-a-kind, to the gorgeous gardens, and the exquisite food, it felt like we were lost in time. Our deep gratitude to the staff and family for this beautiful experience.
