Things to Do on the East Cape

There are miles of empty beach, trails into the mountains, ocean swimming, bird watching, snorkeling, and long solitary walks to take in either direction. Stay on the balcony or patio of your room or look out the bedroom window and watch the whales jump. At Villa del Faro, you’ll be surrounded by the majesty of nature. Please be sure to bring “reef safe” sunblock to keep our waters healthy.
Swimming
Villa del Faro is above one of the safest swimming beaches on the sea of Cortez.
Surfing
Villa del Faro is within 3 miles of some of the best surfing on the East Cape. Best kitesurfing during the winter season.
Snorkeling, diving, whale watching and boat tours
Can all be arranged just up the coast in the protected marine park of Cabo Pulmo. You can also snorkel at our private beach.
Fishing
There is great shore fishing on the beach right below the hotel. We can also connect you with world-class guided flyfishing.
Guided fishing trips are offered at Cabo Pulmo, in small local boats called pongas. We can arrange this for you. Our chefs will be glad to cook any fish you catch!
Horseback Riding
Our neighbor can take up to three people riding at a time.
He will guide you along the beach or up into the arroyo, or both!
